Hey I’m real proud of the life I’m liv’in
We saddle up girls…ah we keep on given
Up and down the road…to the next show
It’s a big thing we call the Rodeo
Riding bulls and broncs from Fort Worth to Austin
My cowboy friends…yeah their awesome
It’s where the cowgirl chicks ride for the red…white…and blue!

Chorus:
It’s the rodeo show…rodeo show
C’mon out to the rodeo…ya got your wild-wild west
Kick it up ...kick dust
We work real hard…ya we give our best
Ya got your buckin chutes…Justin boots…
Saturday nights …yeah that’s what we do…
Were made in the USA…the American way
It’s the Rodeo World

Now I sing country with a kick of rock
Yeah I’ve been to Nashville and had my knocks
So I come home…where I belong…
Back to Texas where my roots are strong
And I admit my heart got broke…but I cowgirl’d up
Had my mind made up…that I was gonna make it to the big show…
Rodeo!

Chorus:
Ya got your buckin chutes…worn out boots…your cowboy man…
Hey Chris Ledoux...made in the USA…the American way
It’s the Rodeo World…. hey I’m a rodeo girl …

About the Song

“Rodeo World” was written in 2005 back when we were on the road performing our summer tour. It was hot. We were worn out, and the horses were giving us 1000 percent every time we hit the arena floor. I was inspired to write this song by all the unbelievable athletes who gave a great ride on the incredible stock that rodeo had to offer. Traveling with these tough cowboys and cowgirls every weekend gave me the determination to succeed in one of America’s toughest sports: The Rodeo World. When you go to a rodeo, you are given the vision of a true athlete…whether it’s a cowboy, cowgirl, a beautiful horse, or an incredibly tough bull with an “A” in attitude. Not only does their commitment blow me away but also the love and passion they have of the cowboy way of life.

I have been blessed to witness some of the greatest falls and rides of all times and for that I will be forever grateful. True meaning of a “Never Quit Attitude.” From the stock contractors, stock producers, town committees, rodeo announcers, bull fighters, rodeo clowns, and more, these individuals have given a huge contribution to one of the most dangerous sports alive. A dream that I thought would never come true was having PRCA announcer “the Voice of Professional Rodeo” Bob Tallman be a part of this record. It was a vision of mine to have this legendary world renowned, incredible voice be a part of this song. To me, his voice was what made this record complete.

Thanks to all of my rodeo friends/family believing in me and a bunch of Cowgirls from Fort Worth, Texas. We thank you for supporting us in something we are passionate about and love by striving for that perfect performance each time we reach for the stars. We are proud of who we are and flying the red, white, and blue. Thank you to all the armed forces who sacrifice their life for all of us so we can live in such a wonderful place we call America.

Love,
